Janey Jolley and Charlie Holland of Henderson announce their engagement and the upcoming wedding ceremony to be held at Miss Mary’s Place in Longview on June 12. Janey is a 2009 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. Janey is pursuing a nursing degree, and is currently working at Pro Fitness Health Club. Charlie is a 2006 graduate of Santa Fe High School. After graduating high school, Charlie traveled the world working for Rolls Royce, and is currently a lead operator for Elite Production Services out of Longview. Janey is the daughter of Becky and Thad Massengale of Spring and the late Kevin Jolley of Henderson. Charlie is the son of Sandra Yandle and the late Donnie Yandle of Henderson. Janey is the granddaughter of Barbara Jolley, Mr. and Mrs. Van Massengale, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hudgins and the late Dot Hudgins. Charlie is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Selph.
Virgil Doyle Allen will be celebrating his 92nd birthday. He grew up in Henderson and served in World War II. He worked at Henderson Police Department and Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
Cecil and Katherine Fowler of Turnertown celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on March 5 with a small family reception at their home. Their children are Linda Hall, Sharon Hall, Shirley Stephens, Marilyn Bates and the late Karen Fowler. They have eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Bob and Sue Henderson celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Feb. 13. Bob and Sue married on Feb. 13, 1975, while he was in the Navy. Together with their family they moved all over the United States until Bob retired with 30 years of service. In 1988 they moved to Henderson and have called it home ever since. Sue is general manager of HEDCO. They celebrated with their children and grandchildren.
Ellie Kate Rodriguez celebrated her first birthday Feb. 15 with an “Ellie in Onederland” party. Ellie was born Feb. 17, 2014 to Grace Medford and Mateo Rodriguez of Nacogdoches. She is the granddaughter of Roxanne Medford, Tommy and Karen Medford and Francisco and Dionicia Rodriguez. Great-grandparents are Judy Lagrone, Jimmy and Thelma Medford and Mack and Virginia Bassett. Helping Ellie celebrate were a host of family and friends.
